Meeting Notes - May 9, 2002
Membership:
Much discussion
about how to increase enrollment in the Heritage Knolls Homeowners Association
was made. A reminder flyer will be sent out shortly explaining the
importance of becoming involved in our sub-division. Only members can vote
on any improvements or decisions regarding our area. Also, only members
can participate in the upcoming picnic and softball game. If you have not
done so already, please send in your $35 check. Contact Geri Dunham at
469-8522 for more information.
Entrances:
We will be contacting the firm that has been contracted to
maintain our entryways. At this time we are not satisfied with the work
and might possibly look into another firm to take on the job.
Park News:
The park has been hydroseeded and the dirt piles
have been pushed away. The village and the park district will be splitting the
cost to install a 110-foot sidewalk in front of the park. We discussed the
possibility of erecting a gazebo or pavilion in the Heritage Knolls park. We
need members’ input! Let us know how you would like to beautify our park.
Soccer Parking:
Concern over the condition of the lot was discussed. Much
litter was left on the premises. The sign and stakes were left up over a
week. Parking too close to the sub-division entry caused concern about possible
accidents. Maybe a No-Parking sign near entrances would eliminate this
problem?
Web-Site:
Great progress has been make in developing our new
web-site. We will soon have our address and covenants will be made
available for viewing. More info to follow.
Huge News:
We have won the
drawing to take part in the Frankfort Fall Festival beer tent. A percent of the
proceeds come directly back into our sub-division to be used on any improvements
the members vote on. The Festival runs through the Labor Day weekend, starting
Thursday and ending on Monday. Volunteers are greatly needed. If
you are interested, please contact Dave Quaglia at 464-9426 or Paul Loeffel at
464-5506.
Reminders:
Picnic at
Heritage Knolls Park on September 7th; rain date, September 8th.
The picnic starts at 2:00pm and ends at dusk. Free to all members. More info
to follow. If you are interested in helping to coordinate this event, call
Linda Hoffman at 469-3826. As of yet, there has been no date set for the
softball game. September 14th is a possibility. Contact Cindy
Reilly at 469-9760 to volunteer or register to participate.
Thanks to so many of you
who have become so involved in our association. Our goal is to have all
residents of Heritage Knolls have a voice in our community. Please tell your
neighbors to become part of our great organization! If you have any question or
comments, please contact me at
cathy10531@attbi.com or call
469-0511.
Thanks for you support
